FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Introducing the All New Model ED-400M Eddy Current InstrumentMarch 1, 2004 -- Centurion NDT announces the introduction of the new ED-400M -- an eddy current test instrument specifically designed to detect cracks and flaws in ferro-magnetic materials. The ED-400M is a self-contained electronic instrument that offers exceptional sensitivity, making it ideal for quick, reliable crack detection. Setting up and operating the ED-400M could hardly be easier. Once the probe is electronically balanced, the operator slides the probe over the inspection piece, keeping on eye on the easy-to-read meter. Audio and visual alarms can also be set to alert the operator. Unlike other eddy current instruments, the ED-400M is not affected by changes in background magnetic permeability. Thus, the tester requires no adjustment when inspecting for defects through surface rust, oxides, pint or other coatings. In addition, minor movements in probe alignment during inspection do not seriously affect the meter reading. With application ranging from weld inspection and maintenance to receiving inspections and process control, the ED-400M is widely used to compliment or replace magnetic particle inspection methods in several industries, including automotive, construction, and oil and gas pipelines. Measuring 5" high x 9" wide x 6" deep and weighing 5.3 pounds, the ED-400M is ideally suited for the most rugged environments. Long-life, rechargeable nickel-cadmium batteries provide up to 50 hours of continuous operation on a single charge. A vast selection of probes in available to meet the needs of most applications. Special probes may also be designed to that unique situation. The ED-400M is economically priced and can be purchased from Centurion NDT or an authorized sales representative. Centurion NDT produces high quality test instruments and probes that have been used for over 30 years by manufacturers, foundries, auto mechanics, inspectors and aviation maintenance technicians. Centurion NDT consistently provides tools to help get the job done. For More Information Contact: Centurion NDT [Back] |
