Yet SimpleThe new ED-1100 Eddy Current InstrumentJanuary 1, 1999 -- Centurion NDT announces the introduction of the new ED-1100 -- an impedance plane eddy current test instrument that's easy-to-use. The ED-1100 is a microprocessor-based impedance plane instrument which offers a large 6" screen for viewing flaw indications in phase analysis or timebase mode. The ED-1100 brings the diagnostics of impedance plane together with the ease of push-button operation. Impedance plane testing has never been this simple. This eddy current instrument is used to detect flaws in components from the aerospace, amusement park, automotive, aviation, heat treating, military, transportation and welding industries. The ED-1100 will also sort magnetic and non-magnetic materials according to hardness, alloy type, and heat treat condition. It will also measure coating thickness and conductivity on a comparison basis. The ED-1100 is used for quality testing of incoming raw materials, finished product quality control and checking materials for fatigue. The ED-1100 accurately measures the status of your test part, whether you are checking for cracks in wheels, or determining the condition of your heat treated parts. We have designed and produced custom probes for complex automotive and aviation testing applications, such as the wheel bead seat, strut, and bolt hole inspection. The absolute or differential probe selected, along with the adjustments for Probe Drive, Gain and Phase, all contribute to your testing sensitivity level. The instrument operates in a variable frequency of 100 Hz to 6 MHz to accommodate a wide range of testing materials.
