Type DC - Distance Calibration Block

The Type DC (Distance Calibration) Block is small and lightweight. It is extremely useful for providing accurate distance calibration of both angle and straight beam transducers in the field. Also can be used to locate or check angle beam transducer sound entry point.

Type IIW Reference Block (Aluminum)

The Type IIW (International Institute of Welding) Reference Block facilitates calibration of the ultrasonic flaw detection system. Particularly useful when testing steel materials for accurate distance calibration of A-scan for both angle beam (from 4" radius end) and straight beam (from rectangular portions) techniques. Also effective in determining refracted angle of sound beam propagation, index point, and establishing sensitivity levels for both straight and any angle beam transducers. Also can be used to determine straight beam resolution.

Four Step Steel Test Block

These step blocks are used to calibrate ultrasonic systems for thickness measurements. Transducer is moved from one step to the next while adjusting instrument controls so that readout coincides with block thickness. Made of steel and should be used only for calibrating system for materials with the same velocity.
